CHAMP Rocket

Boeing's CHAMP Rocket
Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project
Image result for CHAMP ROCKET boeingInvented by Raytheon Missile Systems, the missile has been tested for the last 3 years after a successful run in the Utah desert by Boeing. The missile system uses High Power Radio wave bursts to destroy data systems on multiple targets without causing any casualties. The test hit each of the multiple targets, knocking out all computers and even test cameras in the target facility successfully. CHAMP is capable of taking out all electrical systems without any structural damage. The EMP like device is incredibly advanced without any equal. It can engage multiple targets (up to 7) over a vast distance with a small generator that emits small microwaves with pinpoint accuracy. It allows for specific targets to be hit without taking out the entire electrical grid that civilians rely on. The missile has a range of 600 miles, and is deployable from combat aircraft like the F-16. There are currently only 5 devices commissioned.

Straight out of the movies, advancements in technology have allowed for groundbreaking innovating systems like these. It is currently undergoing preliminary designs to be used in the field in order to knock out hostile technology targets without physical damage to people. It can only target technology. A non-lethal weapon that doesn't hurt individuals has incredible potential in today's changing world.
There are thoughts of it being used against the missile test North Korea keeps conducting, though it is all speculation in the delicate foreign diplomacy situation.
What do you think about the newest EMP like rocket? Do you think it has more potential to cause issues in the future since technology like this has never been implemented besides side effects of a nuclear explosion in the past. EMPs have not had a practical use in the field until now. Will the new technology cause more political issues than the practical uses it offers?
